Country singer Chris Young has been taken into custody for disorderly conduct and reportedly assaulting a police officer at a bar in Nashville.

Country singer Chris Young, who is set to launch his new album Young Love & Saturday Nights on March 22, was taken into custody on Monday evening at a bar in Nashville. The arrest reportedly occurred due to a dispute between Young and an official from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Based on arrest records obtained by Rolling Stone, a person named Young, who is 38 years old, was accused of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

The situation seems to have started when the TABC conducted a standard check of identification and license cards at the bars located on Demonbreun Hill, a well-known area in Nashville with multiple nightclubs. During this check, the TABC agents asked the patrons at Tin Roof bar to show their IDs, and Young willingly presented his. However, instead of simply complying, Young proceeded to inquire and record the actions of the agents.

Based on the document, Young and several of his friends then followed the agents to the Dawg House, a nearby bar. Young reportedly blocked one of the agents from leaving the bar and even struck him on the shoulder. In response, the agent pushed Young away to create some distance since he was unfamiliar with Young and didn't know what he was capable of.

According to the sworn statement, there was a confrontation and Young was detained and restrained with handcuffs. The report mentions that Young had bloodshot and watery eyes, and his speech was unclear. Young was taken to the Metro jail and released on Tuesday morning.
