Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have taken on a new role as the owners of 'Field & Stream' magazine.
Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have recently entered the publishing industry by acquiring Field & Stream magazine. They have exciting plans to revamp the brand by reintroducing it as a print magazine, a website, and an apparel company. Additionally, they are also planning to organize a live music festival under the Field & Stream banner. This move shows their interest in the outdoors and their desire to create a multifaceted platform for their fans and outdoor enthusiasts
The "Field & Stream 1871 Club" offers different subscription levels for its members, with prices ranging from $15 to $95 per year. These subscriptions provide online access to new articles about hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities, as well as access to the F&S archives. Members who choose the top two subscription tiers will also receive a physical copy of the Field & Stream print magazine, which is published twice a year and measures 11 x 14 inches. In addition, members will receive exclusive accessories like bandannas and hats, as well as early access to live events and product purchases. This includes the opportunity to purchase tickets to a music festival, which will likely feature prominent artists.
Church and Wallen, along with a group of investors, have acquired the Field & Stream retail brand from Dick's Sporting Goods and the media component from Recurrent, a digital media company.
In a statement, Church shared that he fondly remembers his grandfather keeping some of his most beloved Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck. These magazines held great significance for Church, almost like a sacred text. He feels incredibly privileged to carry on his grandfather's legacy and is committed to upholding the values and traditions of this iconic American publication. Church also feels a personal responsibility towards a young boy who sits in his grandfather's truck, as he wants to be the guiding force that ensures the continuation of this cherished heritage.
Wallen expressed his love for spending time with friends in various outdoor settings such as around a campfire, on a boat, or in a deer stand. He believes that Field & Stream represents these experiences to him. He finds it incredible to be a part of the future of Field & Stream and wants to continue bringing people together in the outdoors to create lasting memories for future generations.
