Eric Church and Morgan Wallen Take on New Role as Owners of ‘Field & Stream’ Magazine

  • by

Country music artists Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have taken on a new role as the owners of 'Field & Stream' magazine.

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have decided to venture into the publishing industry by acquiring Field & Stream magazine. They plan to revitalize the brand by reintroducing it as a print publication, a website, and a clothing company that focuses on outdoor activities. Additionally, they have intentions of organizing a live music festival under the same brand.

The "Field & Stream 1871 Club" offers different membership options for subscribers. These options range in price from $15 to $95 per year and provide online access to new stories about hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, as well as access to the F&S archives. Members who choose the two highest tiers will also receive a physical copy of the Field & Stream print magazine, which is published twice a year in an 11 x 14 format. Additionally, members will have access to exclusive accessories such as bandannas and hats, as well as early access to live events and product purchases. This includes the opportunity to purchase tickets to a music festival that is expected to feature popular headlining acts.

According to an announcement, Church and Wallen have teamed up with a group of investors to buy the Field & Stream retail brand from Dick's Sporting Goods and the media aspect from Recurrent, a digital media company.

Church stated that his grandfather used to keep a couple of his beloved Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck, which had a significant impact on him. He considers those magazines his guide and is deeply committed to continuing the legacy they represent. Church sees it as his duty to uphold the values of an American Icon and to honor the memory of a young boy sitting in his grandfather's truck. These factors will serve as the guiding force for their actions.

Wallen expressed his love for spending time with friends in various outdoor settings such as around a campfire, on a boat, or in a deer stand. He believes that Field & Stream encompasses all of these experiences and is thrilled to be a part of its future. Wallen's goal is to continue bringing people together in the outdoors and create lasting memories for future generations.
