Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Surprise Pregnancy and Baby Name Dilemma

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully focused on preparing for their upcoming baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.

During a Q&A session with fans on Saturday, the singer's spouse shared some details about their pregnancy journey, including the unexpected way they found out about the current pregnancy. Despite actively trying to conceive, they were taken by surprise because it had taken them quite some time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.

Summer shared that they faced a challenging journey in conceiving their child, Presley. Despite trying for two years and being advised to undergo IVF, they unexpectedly conceived naturally when they decided to let go of the pressure. As a result, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating that it might take a while once again.

The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been attempting to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test and saw that it turned out to be negative, which disappointed her. Consequently, she discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.

Luckily, the situation did not conclude at that point. Summer persevered and, a few hours later, she had a feeling that prompted her to retrieve the discarded pregnancy test and reexamine it. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests yielding immediate results and had momentarily forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.

In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl, especially considering that her symptoms during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. This time, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.

Earlier this month, Pardis used a pepperoni pizza to reveal the gender of their upcoming child by removing two slices and uncovering pink slips of paper beneath them. Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were both pleasantly surprised to learn that they will be welcoming another girl into their family. Summer expresses their great enthusiasm for this news.

The top priority is to have a happy and healthy baby. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I won't completely rule it out, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.

The couple is currently disagreeing on one aspect of parenthood, which is the name of their upcoming baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who had previously chosen their first child's name, is not fond of any of her suggestions for their second baby. She jokingly mentioned that they are currently not talking because of this. Summer also shared a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. Upon announcing their pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They sought medical advice and took a break from their efforts before eventually getting pregnant.
