Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Surprise Pregnancy and Baby Name Dilemma

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer, have announced to their fans that they are expecting their second child. As a result, the couple is fully dedicated to preparing for the baby's arrival. Summer recently provided fans with a glimpse into her ongoing pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.

The singer's spouse shared some insights about pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27) when she responded to several fan inquiries. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they weren't actively trying to conceive, but because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.

According to Summer's statement in a slide, they faced significant difficulty in conceiving their child Presley. They attempted for a period of two years and were advised to undergo in-vitro fertilization (IVF). However, unexpectedly, they were able to conceive naturally as soon as they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. In October, they made the decision to start trying for another baby, assuming that the process might be lengthy once again, but surprisingly, they were met with a positive outcome

The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially seemed to show a negative result. "I woke up very early in the morning and needed to use the bathroom, so I thought I would take a pregnancy test since we had been trying for a few weeks. I observed the test, it showed a negative result, so I felt disappointed, discarded it in the trash, and went back to sleep."

Luckily, the situation didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck the results. To her surprise, it was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to fully develop.

In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. She was particularly surprised because some of the symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were completely different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen the theme for the nursery based on this assumption.

At the beginning of the month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink pieces of paper below. Despite both Summer and her country singer spouse being caught off guard by the news of having another daughter, she expresses their great enthusiasm for the new addition to their family.

The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot predict the future, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.

There is a disagreement between the couple when it comes to choosing a name for their unborn baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who had previously chosen the name for their first child, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby. This has caused some tension between them, although Summer assures that they are just joking about not talking. She also shared a list of her current favorite name options for the baby, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer got married in 2020, and their child, Presley, was born in February 2023. They revealed that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding and had sought advice from doctors. After temporarily stopping their efforts to conceive, they soon became pregnant.
