Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Surprise Pregnancy and Baby Names

  • by

Jon Pardi's wife, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy with their fans. With the news out, the couple is fully dedicated to preparing for the arrival of their second baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.

The singer's spouse shared some insights about pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27), responding to fan inquiries. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley.

Summer shared in one slide that they faced significant difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley. After two years of trying and being advised to pursue in vitro fertilization (IVF), they surprisingly got pregnant naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. As a result of their previous experience, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy journey, but to their surprise, they were successful sooner than expected.

The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying for a baby in the past few weeks. After watching the test, which indicated a negative outcome, she felt disappointed. She then disposed of the test in the trash and went back to bed.

Luckily, the situation did not come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage and recheck it. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.

In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was especially surprising to her because she noticed some distinct differences in her symptoms compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme for a boy.

In the past few weeks, the Pardis used a unique method to announce the gender of their upcoming child. They pulled two slices from a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper beneath, indicating that they are expecting a girl. Both Summer and her husband, a country singer, were taken aback by the news but are feeling extremely enthusiastic about the new addition to their family.

The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies, although I cannot completely rule out the possibility of having a third in the future, we currently do not have any intentions or arrangements for it.

There is a disagreement between the couple regarding the name for their upcoming baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who had previously chosen their first child's name, dislikes all her suggestions for their second child's name. Summer jokingly mentioned that they are currently not talking because of this disagreement. She also shared a list of her favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer got married in 2020, and their baby, Presley, was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding and had sought medical advice before taking a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they became pregnant shortly after pausing their efforts.
