Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. The couple recently announced the exciting news to their fans, and now they are fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their new baby. Summer, Pardi's wife, provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time to respond to some inquiries from fans on Saturday (Jan. 27) regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not because they were not attempting to conceive, but because it took them a significant amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties while trying to conceive their child, Presley. They attempted for two years and were informed that they would need to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, unexpectedly, they were able to conceive naturally as soon as they decided to disregard all the stress and worry. Taking this into account, they made the decision in October to start trying for another baby, anticipating the possibility of another lengthy journey to conception.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially seemed to indicate a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the previous weeks. After watching the test, which showed a negative result, she felt disappointed. As a result, she threw it away and went back to bed.
Luckily, the situation did not come to an end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck the results. To her surprise, the test showed a positive result. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she learned that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected because she had experienced quite different symptoms from her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme for a boy.
In the recent past, Pardis conducted a straightforward gender reveal celebration by removing two slices of a pepperoni pizza to uncover small pink pieces of paper beneath them. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being taken aback by the news of having another daughter, she expresses their immense enthusiasm and joy for the forthcoming addition to their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I cannot completely rule it out, we currently do not have any intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is having a disagreement about what to name their unborn baby. Summer says that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child. This disagreement has caused them to stop talking to each other, although Summer admits that she is just kidding. She has shared a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and their baby Presley was born in February 2023. When they made the announcement about the pregnancy, they revealed that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding and had sought advice from doctors before taking a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they were able to conceive shortly after deciding to take a break.
