Jon Pardi’s Wife Shares Surprising Details About Her Pregnancy Journey with Baby No. 2

  • by

Jon Pardi's wife, Summer, recently shared details about her second pregnancy with their fans. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.

The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the tale of how she discovered she was pregnant again. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they weren't actively trying to conceive, but because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.

Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child Presley. Despite trying for a duration of 2 years and being advised to undergo IVF, they miraculously conceived naturally when they reached a point of frustration and decided to let go of the pressure. Reflecting on this experience, they decided to begin trying for another baby in October, considering the possibility of a similarly challenging journey. However, to their astonishment, they were met with a pleasant surprise.

She discovered her pregnancy in the morning, which began with a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. After taking the test and seeing it turn negative, she felt disappointed and discarded it in the trash before going back to bed.

Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage and reexamine it. To her surprise, the result was undoubtedly positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and she had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.

In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected because some of the symptoms she had during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this time, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.

In recent weeks, the Pardis used a pepperoni pizza to reveal the gender of their baby by removing two slices and finding pink slips of paper beneath. Both Summer and her husband, a country singer, were pleasantly surprised to discover that they will be welcoming another girl into their family. Summer expresses that they are extremely thrilled about this news.

The well-being of a joyful and healthy infant is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies, although I cannot completely rule out the possibility of having a third one, currently we have no intentions or preparations for it," she added.

Although this couple is expecting a baby, they have differing opinions on what to name their child. Summer claims that her partner, Pardi, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby's name. She jokingly mentioned that they are currently not speaking to each other over this disagreement. Summer also provided a list of her favorite name options, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the exciting announcement about their pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding. However, they faced some difficulties and sought advice from medical professionals before deciding to take a break from their efforts. Surprisingly, shortly after taking this break, they successfully became pregnant.
