Loretta Lynn’s Son’s Post-Surgery Update: A Disappointing Outcome

  • by

Loretta Lynn's family recently informed the public about her son, Ernest Ray Lynn, who is 69 years old, undergoing a surgical procedure to treat his kidney failure. However, the initial outcomes of the operation have revealed that it did not yield the desired results as anticipated by the doctors.

On Thursday, Crystal, the wife of Ernest, shared an update with fans. She had initially shared details on Facebook. This update came a few days after Ernest had his surgery. Crystal had mentioned earlier that this specific day would provide the doctors with more information about the outcome of the surgery.

In her update, she expressed that the day did not go as expected. However, despite this setback, they remain determined and optimistic. They firmly believe that the operation will ultimately be successful and have faith that the Lord will provide for their needs. They kindly request that others pray specifically for the new device to begin functioning properly tomorrow morning. They have unwavering belief in God and the power of prayer, and they are grateful for the ongoing prayers, care, and friendship extended to them.

Crystal has not provided any further official updates on Ernest since Sunday, but she took to social media to inform fans that their family is still praying for her husband. Additionally, she shared a compilation of pictures of Ernest, some of which seem to have been captured while he was in the hospital.

Loretta Lynn lived longer than two of her children that she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. Her oldest daughter Betty Sue passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema, and her oldest son Jack Benny tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on the Lynn family's property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022 at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved an iconic status in country music and held the record for being the female country artist with the highest number of awards.
