Crystal, the wife of Ernest, shared an update with fans on Thursday, a few days after Ernest underwent surgery. Crystal had initially shared details about the surgery on Facebook and mentioned that this day would bring more clarity on the success of the operation.
In her update, she expressed that the day did not go according to their expectations, but they are determined not to give up. They firmly believe and declare that the operation will be a success and that the Lord will provide for their needs. They kindly request specific prayers for the new device to begin functioning for them tomorrow morning. They have faith in God and the strength of prayer, and they are grateful for the ongoing prayers, care, and friendship.
As of Sunday, Crystal has not provided any further official updates on Ernest. However, she took to social media to inform fans that they are still praying for her husband. She also shared a collection of photos featuring Ernest, some of which seem to have been taken while he was hospitalized.
Loretta Lynn has survived two of her children who she had with her husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. Her oldest daughter Betty Sue passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema, and her oldest son Jack Benny tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their Hurricane Mills, Tennessee property.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills, at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she established herself as one of the most prominent figures in country music and held the record for the highest number of awards received by a female country artist.
