Country singer Morgan Wallen expresses anger towards his former managers for making his old music available to the public. In response, Wallen retaliates by releasing a new song.
Country singer Morgan Wallen recently released a new song called "Spin You Around (1/24)" as a response to his former managers allegedly releasing some of his old songs without his permission. Wallen explained the situation to his fans in a lengthy post on Instagram.
Wallen went to Florida in 2014 to work on creating and recording his own music. During this time, he ended up signing a recording deal and an artist management deal, both of which he now regrets. Wallen admitted that he made the decision to sign these deals without seeking any legal advice.
According to him, they created a total of 13 songs. While some of them were decent, the majority were quite awful since he was still in the process of learning how to write and understand it all. It's important to note that he wasn't the only one involved in the collaboration, so many of these songs were not his original concept and did not meet his personal standards.
The singer stated that after their sessions, they released a five-track EP called Stand Alone, which included a popular song called "Spin You Around." Now, after 10 years, the singer's former colleagues are planning to re-release the original EP along with eight previously unreleased songs.

Wallen expressed his disgust and disapproval, stating that it is repulsive, selfish, and illustrates how the negative aspects of the music industry can drain the passion and creativity from musicians.
In response, Wallen announces that he will be re-recording his song "Spin You Around," and he will also be donating $100,000 from his Morgan Wallen Foundation to the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts program. This program is based in Tennessee and offers legal advice to artists. Wallen hopes that his actions will encourage young musicians to stand up for their creative freedom and not compromise for opportunities in the music industry.
