Country singer Morgan Wallen expresses anger towards his former managers for releasing his old music without his permission. In response, he retaliates by releasing a new song.
Country artist Morgan Wallen released a new song called "Spin You Around (1/24)" on Friday as a response to his former managers allegedly releasing old songs without his consent. Wallen explained the situation to his fans in a lengthy post on Instagram the day before.
In 2014, Wallen went to Florida to work on writing and recording his own music. As a result, he ended up signing a recording deal and an artist management deal that he now deeply regrets. Wallen admitted that he made the decision to sign these deals without seeking the advice of a lawyer.
According to him, they created a total of 13 songs. While some of them were decent, the majority turned out to be terrible because he was still in the process of learning how to write and figuring things out. It should be noted that he was not the sole collaborator, and therefore, many of these songs were not his own ideas and did not meet his personal standards.
According to the singer, he recorded a five-track EP called Stand Alone during those sessions. One of the songs on the EP, titled "Spin You Around," became popular among fans. Now, after 10 years, Wallen's former colleagues are planning to release the original EP again, along with eight previously unreleased songs.

Wallen expressed his disgust and disapproval towards a particular situation in the music industry, describing it as repulsive, driven by avarice, and a clear demonstration of how the negative aspects of the industry can deplete artists of their artistic essence.
Wallen has responded to the situation by announcing that he will re-record his song "Spin You Around." Additionally, he will be making a generous donation of $100,000 from his Morgan Wallen Foundation to the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts program. This organization, based in Tennessee, offers legal support and guidance to artists. Wallen hopes that aspiring musicians will read about his story and understand that they should never have to sacrifice their creative freedoms for opportunities in the music industry.
