Country music singer Chris Young was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and allegedly assaulting a police officer at a bar in Nashville.

Chris Young, a musician set to release his new album Young Love & Saturday Nights on March 22, was taken into custody on Monday evening at a bar in Nashville. It is reported that he was involved in an altercation with an official from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Based on legal documents obtained by Rolling Stone, Young, who is 38 years old, is facing charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

It seems that the incident started when the TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) conducted a regular check of the identification and license cards at the bars located on Demonbreun Hill, a well-known area with nightclubs in Nashville. During the check at Tin Roof, a bar, Young willingly presented his identification. However, he then proceeded to question and record the agents.

Based on the document, Young and several friends then followed the agents to a nearby bar called the Dawg House. Young allegedly prevented an agent from leaving the bar by blocking their path. In the affidavit, the agent stated that while they were walking towards the exit, Young extended his hands to stop them and struck them on the shoulder. The agent pushed Young away to create distance since they had no knowledge of who Young was or what his intentions were.

According to the affidavit, there was a confrontation that occurred and Young was detained and restrained with handcuffs. The report mentions that Young's eyes were red and watery, and his speech was unclear. Young was taken into custody and later released on Tuesday morning.
