Country singer Chris Young was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and allegedly assaulting a police officer at a bar in Nashville.

Country singer Chris Young, who has a new album titled Young Love & Saturday Nights set to be released on March 22, was taken into custody on Monday evening at a bar in Nashville. The arrest was made following an alleged altercation between Young and an official from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Based on the arrest records obtained by Rolling Stone, Young, who is 38 years old, was accused of committing disorderly conduct, resisting the arrest, and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

The occurrence seems to have originated from a regular inspection carried out by the TABC to verify identification and license cards at the bars located on Demonbreun Hill, a well-known area in Nashville that is filled with nightclubs. During the inspection at Tin Roof bar, Young presented his identification card, but instead of simply complying, he started to inquire and record videos of the agents.

Based on the document, Young and a group of friends followed the agents to a bar called the Dawg House. Young allegedly prevented one of the agents from leaving the bar by blocking their path and physically striking the agent on the shoulder. In response, the agent pushed Young away to create distance, as they were unaware of Young's identity or intentions.

According to the sworn statement, there was a confrontation that occurred and Young was subsequently detained and placed in handcuffs. The report mentions that Young had bloodshot and watery eyes, and his speech was slurred. Young was then taken to the Metro jail and released on Tuesday morning.
