These versions include a younger Dolly, an earlier stage of Dolly's life, and an older Dolly. The singer clarifies the categories for casting the title character.
"We will be holding auditions and utilizing various methods to discover new talents," Parton explains. "I believe this process will also be enjoyable for the audience. The exciting part is that you never know where these talents may come from. They could be individuals who have never performed on stage before or perhaps have only been involved in local theater. Nonetheless, we are determined to search for them, and I believe this will add to the excitement."
