Eric Church and Morgan Wallen Purchase Field & Stream Magazine, Prepare for Relaunch

  • by

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have taken on a new role as the owners of 'Field & Stream' magazine.

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen, both country singers, have ventured into the publishing industry by acquiring Field & Stream magazine. They plan to revitalize the brand by reintroducing it as a print magazine, website, and apparel company. Additionally, they have intentions to organize a live music festival under the Field & Stream name. This move showcases their interest in the outdoors and their desire to combine it with their passion for music.

The "Field & Stream 1871 Club" offers different membership levels that range in price from $15 to $95 per year. These memberships provide online access to new stories about hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, as well as access to the F&S archives. Members who choose the top two tiers will also receive the Field & Stream print magazine, which is published twice a year and measures 11 x 14. In addition to these benefits, members will also receive exclusive accessories like bandannas and hats, and have early access to attend live events and purchase products. This includes the opportunity to buy tickets to a music festival that is expected to be headlined by the new owners.

Church and Wallen, along with a group of investors, have acquired the Field & Stream retail brand from Dick's Sporting Goods and the media component from Recurrent, a digital media company.

In a statement, Church shared that his grandfather used to keep a few of his beloved Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck. These magazines held great significance for Church, serving as his source of inspiration and guidance. He feels incredibly honored to continue the legacy of his grandfather by upholding the values represented by Field & Stream. Church sees it as his duty to preserve the heritage of this iconic American publication, as well as to provide a similar sense of inspiration to young boys, just like he felt when reading those magazines in his grandfather's truck. This will serve as the guiding force behind their actions and decisions.

Country music artist Morgan Wallen expressed his love for spending time with friends in various outdoor settings such as around a campfire, on a boat, or in a deer stand. He believes that Field & Stream magazine embodies these experiences and he feels honored to be a part of its future. Wallen's goal is to continue bringing people together in the great outdoors, creating lasting memories for future generations.
