Eric Church and Morgan Wallen Take on the Outdoors: The New Owners of Field & Stream Magazine

  • by

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have taken on a new role as owners of 'Field & Stream' magazine.

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have decided to enter the publishing industry by purchasing Field & Stream magazine. They have big plans for the brand, as they intend to revive it as a print magazine, a website, and an apparel company. Additionally, they have exciting plans to organize a live music festival under the Field & Stream brand.

The "Field & Stream 1871 Club" offers different subscription tiers for its members. These tiers range from $15 to $95 per year and grant online access to new hunting, fishing, and outdoor stories, as well as access to the F&S archives. Subscribers who choose the top two tiers will also receive the Field & Stream print magazine, which is published twice a year in an 11 x 14 format. In addition, members can enjoy exclusive accessories like bandannas and hats, early access to live events, and the opportunity to purchase products before others. This includes the possibility of obtaining tickets to a music festival which is expected to have prominent artists.

As stated in a press release, Church and Wallen have partnered with a group of investors to acquire the Field & Stream retail brand from Dick's Sporting Goods and the media component from Recurrent, a digital media company.

In a statement, Church shared that his grandfather used to keep some of his beloved Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck. These magazines were highly influential to Church, acting as his source of guidance. He feels immensely privileged to continue the legacy of these magazines, considering it both an honor to an American Icon and a way to connect with his memories of being a young boy in his grandfather's truck. This responsibility will serve as the guiding force for their future endeavors.

Wallen expressed his love for spending time with friends in outdoor settings like campfires, boats, and deer stands. He believes that Field & Stream embodies these experiences and he is thrilled to be a part of its future. His goal is to continue bringing people together in the outdoors and creating lasting memories for future generations.
