There are 40 pictures available that showcase George Strait during his early years. George Strait has been involved in the country music industry for over four decades. Surprisingly, he only developed a passion for country music during his high school years.

The person, who is now considered an icon, was born on May 18, 1952 in Poteet, Texas. His parents were Doris and John Strait. During his teenage years, he was a fan of news radio and the farmer's report. This interest stemmed from his family's ownership of a large ranch, where he would assist and thus, developed a desire to stay informed about current events.

Strait began his journey in the music industry when he was still a student at Pearsall High School. During that time, he was a member of a rock 'n roll garage band called the Stoics. Even after he graduated and went to college, he continued pursuing his passion for music. He came across a flyer on campus that was posted by the country band Stoney Ridge, who were in search of a new vocalist. Strait responded to the flyer and joined the band.

After taking on the role of lead vocalist, Strait decided to change the name of the band to the Ace in the Hole Band and took charge as the main figure. They began performing at various honky-tonks and bars located in southern and central regions of Texas.

During the year 1981, MCA Records approached George Strait and he agreed to sign with them. He then proceeded to release his debut single called "Unwound." This song achieved significant popularity and reached the Top 10 chart position in the country music genre during that period.

As Strait's popularity grew, he ventured into the world of acting. In 1982, he successfully landed a role in the film "The Soldier". Since then, he has made appearances in several other movies, with his notable role being in "Pure Country". Additionally, he lent his voice to a character on the animated TV series "King of the Hill".

This country heartthrob's success was unstoppable, and by the 1990s, he had become widely known and earned the enduring title of King of Country Music.

Strait has achieved over 60 songs that have reached the number one spot in his career, and he has sold millions of records all around the world.
