Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully focused on preparing for their upcoming baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news caught them off guard, not because they weren't actively trying, but rather because it took them a considerable amount of time to conceive their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child named Presley. They tried for a period of two years and were informed that they would need to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, just when they had decided to give up on the whole process, they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally. As a result of their challenging experience, they made the decision in October to begin trying for another child, anticipating that it might take a while once again.
She began her morning by taking a pregnancy test, which initially seemed to indicate a negative result. Feeling disappointed, she had taken the test early in the morning after waking up and needing to use the bathroom. Since they had been trying to conceive in the previous weeks, she decided to check the result. After seeing the negative result, she threw the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story did not conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and retrieved the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck the results. She discovered that it was indeed positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback to discover that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
In recent weeks, the Pardis made a straightforward announcement of the gender of their baby by revealing pink slips of paper hidden beneath two slices of pepperoni pizza. Despite being taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, both Summer and her husband, a country singer, express great enthusiasm and happiness.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple has a disagreement about what to name their soon-to-be-born baby. Summer believes that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child's name. Summer jokingly mentions that they are currently not talking due to this disagreement, but she also shares a list of her favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the pregnancy announcement, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They had sought medical advice before taking a break from their attempts, and surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after.
