In an Instagram Stories Q&A session, she gave fans a glimpse into her current journey of expecting baby number two. The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some fan inquiries about pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not because they were not actively trying, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to conceive their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced immense difficulties trying to conceive their child, Presley. They attempted for a period of two years and were even advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they unexpectedly conceived naturally right after they decided to let go of all worries. In October, they made the decision to try for another baby, just in case the process would be similarly challenging, and surprisingly, they were met with a positive outcome.
On the morning when she discovered her pregnancy, she began with a pregnancy test that initially seemed to be negative. She woke up very early in the morning and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the previous weeks. She observed the test, saw that it displayed a negative result, felt disappointed, discarded it in the trash, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the test showed a positive result. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing quick results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses her surprise upon discovering that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she noticed several different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. During this time, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was carrying a boy. She even had a nursery theme planned out for a boy.
Earlier this month, the Pardis decided to announce the gender of their upcoming child in a creative way. They pulled apart two slices of a pepperoni pizza and discovered pink slips of paper underneath, indicating that they would be having another girl. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by the news and expressed their great excitement about expanding their family with another daughter.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby holds utmost importance. Moreover, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot predict the future, we currently do not have any intentions of having a third child.
The couple is currently disagreeing on one aspect of parenthood, and that is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who had previously chosen the name for their first child, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby and believes he has the authority to choose the name once again. As a result, they are currently not on speaking terms about this matter, although it is said in a lighthearted manner. Summer also shared a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and their child, Presley, was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to conceive since their wedding and had sought medical advice before deciding to take a break from trying. Surprisingly, they soon became pregnant after that break.
