Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Surprise Pregnancy and Baby Name Dilemma

  • by

Jon Pardi's wife, Summer, has shared some exciting details about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple is fully embracing the baby preparations and Summer recently gave fans a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.

During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans about pregnancy and babies. One of the questions was about how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but rather because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.

According to Summer's statement in one of her slides, they faced significant difficulties in conceiving a child named Presley. After attempting for two years and receiving advice to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally when they stopped worrying about it. Consequently, in October, they made the decision to start trying for another baby, considering that the process might be lengthy once again. Surprisingly, they were met with the news of another pregnancy.

She began her day by taking a pregnancy test, which initially seemed to show a negative result. Early in the morning, she woke up and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. After observing the test, which indicated a negative outcome, she felt disappointed. Consequently, she discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.

Luckily, the story did not conclude there. Summer decided to follow her intuition and retrieved the pregnancy test from the garbage a few hours later to recheck the results. To her surprise, the test showed a clear positive sign. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests that provide rapid results, causing her to overlook the fact that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to develop fully.

In other parts of the Q&A session, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her, as she noticed significant differences in her symptoms compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was carrying a boy. She even went as far as selecting a nursery theme based on this assumption.

In the past few weeks, the Pardis celebrated a gender reveal in a unique way. They unveiled the sex of their baby by removing two slices of pepperoni pizza, which revealed pink slips of paper underneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another girl. However, they are extremely thrilled about this addition to their family.

The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot predict the future, we currently have no intentions or arrangements for a third baby.

The couple is not in agreement on what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and believes that he is trying to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking about it, although Summer adds that she is only kidding. She also shared a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they revealed the news of their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively attempting to conceive since their wedding. They had sought advice from medical professionals before deciding to take a break from trying to have a baby. Surprisingly, they became pregnant shortly after pausing their efforts.
