Jon Pardi's spouse has shared some information about her second pregnancy with fans. The country couple, Jon Pardi and Summer, are excited about their upcoming baby and have been actively preparing for the arrival. Summer recently gave fans a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.
The singer's spouse responded to various inquiries from fans on Saturday (Jan. 27), discussing topics related to pregnancy and infants. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they were not actively trying to conceive, but because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they had a difficult time conceiving their child Presley. They tried for two years and were advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally when they stopped focusing on the IVF option. Due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another child in October, thinking it might take a while. However, they were pleasantly surprised when they conceived without delay.
She began her day by taking a pregnancy test after waking up very early in the morning and needing to use the restroom. Since she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks, she decided to take the test. After observing it, she saw that it initially showed a negative result, which disappointed her. Consequently, she discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to a close at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the discarded pregnancy test to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests producing rapid results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because some of the symptoms she had during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was going to have a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on that assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis had a unique way to announce the gender of their baby. They revealed it by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza and finding pink slips of paper underneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised to learn that they will be having another girl. Summer expresses their enthusiasm and excitement about this news.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I can't completely rule out the possibility of having a third baby in the future, we currently have no intentions or specific plans for it.
The couple is having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, does not like any of her suggestions for their second child's name. This has caused some tension between them, although she assures that they are still speaking to each other. Summer has provided a list of her favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer have been in a marital relationship since 2020, and their child Presley was born in February 2023. When they initially revealed the news of their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors during this period but decided to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they became pregnant shortly after taking the break.
