Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and Summer are fully immersed in preparing for the arrival of their second child. Summer provided insight into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time to respond to some inquiries from fans on Saturday (Jan. 27) regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news caught them off guard, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a significant amount of time to get pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared that they experienced significant difficulty conceiving their child, Presley, as they tried for two years and were even advised to undergo in-vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they surprisingly conceived naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure surrounding the situation. As a result, in October, they made the decision to start trying for another baby, anticipating that it might take a while, based on their previous experience.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning, beginning with a test that initially seemed to show a negative result. "I woke up very early one morning and needed to use the bathroom, so I decided to take a pregnancy test because we had been trying for a few weeks. I observed the test, which showed a negative result, so I felt disappointed, threw it away, and went back to sleep."
Luckily, the story did not come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to check again. To her surprise, the test showed a positive result. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to fully develop.
In the question and answer session, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected because she had experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was carrying a boy. She even had a nursery theme planned out for a boy.
At the beginning of this month, the Pardis decided to announce the gender of their baby in a simple manner. They revealed that they were expecting a girl by removing two slices from a pizza covered in pepperoni, which uncovered pink pieces of paper. Even though both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were not expecting to have another girl in the family, they expressed their extreme excitement about the news.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, doesn't like any of her suggestions for baby number two. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although she admits she is joking. Summer also provided a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and their daughter, Presley, was born in February 2023. When they publicly revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to conceive since their wedding. They sought advice from medical professionals and took a break from trying, but surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after.
