Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After revealing the news to their fans, the couple is fully focused on preparing for their new arrival. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse recently responded to some fan inquiries about pregnancy and babies, particularly sharing how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not due to lack of effort, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to conceive their first child, their one-year-old daughter Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that it was a difficult journey for them to conceive their child, Presley. They tried for two years and were even advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, as soon as they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure, they were able to conceive naturally. Due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, expecting it to be a lengthy process once again, but to their surprise, they were successful sooner than expected.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with her taking a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for a few weeks. After watching the test, which indicated a negative result, she felt disappointed and threw it in the trash before returning to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a gut feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, causing her to momentarily forget that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This surprise stemmed from the fact that she had experienced certain symptoms during this pregnancy that were completely different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had a chosen theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis revealed the gender of their upcoming baby by using a pepperoni pizza. They pulled away two slices of the pizza, which revealed pink slips of paper underneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised to find out that they will be having another girl. Summer expresses that they are extremely thrilled about this news.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies and currently have no intentions or future arrangements for a third one, although I cannot definitively rule it out.
Although this couple agrees on many aspects of parenthood, they are currently disagreeing on what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are not currently speaking about the topic. However, Summer jokingly mentioned a few names from her current favorite options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and their daughter Presley was born in February 2023. They revealed their pregnancy announcement along with the fact that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding. They sought advice from doctors but paused their efforts to conceive for a while, and surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after.
