Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy with their fans. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for their upcoming baby, and Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions was about how she discovered her pregnancy this time. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but due to the fact that it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that she and her partner faced great difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They struggled for a span of two years and were advised to undergo IVF treatment. However, they unexpectedly conceived naturally when they reached a point of frustration and decided to let go of the pressure. Following this experience, in October they made the decision to start trying for another child, anticipating a potentially lengthy process based on their previous struggles.
On the morning that she discovered she was pregnant, her day began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. After watching the test, which indicated a negative result, she felt disappointed and discarded it in the trash before going back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the test from the garbage to reexamine it. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had grown accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This surprise was due to the fact that she had experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was having a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme for a boy.
Earlier this month, the Pardis used a creative way to reveal the gender of their baby by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza to unveil pink pieces of paper hidden beneath. Although both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, they express great enthusiasm and anticipation for the new addition to their family.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently do not have any intentions or arrangements for a third baby.
However, there is one aspect of being parents that the couple does not agree on at the moment, and that is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer explains that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, dislikes all the names she suggests for their second child. She jokingly mentions that they are currently not talking because of this disagreement. Summer also shares a list of her current favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and their daughter Presley was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively attempting to conceive since their wedding. They sought advice from doctors and decided to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, during this break, they soon became pregnant.
