Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. Jon Pardi and his wife Summer recently revealed to their fans that they are expecting their second child. As a result, the couple is currently fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their new baby. Summer also took the opportunity to offer fans a glimpse into her ongoing pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
During Saturday (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions revolved around the circumstances in which she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not due to lack of effort, but rather because it took them quite some time to conceive their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced difficulties in conceiving their child Presley. They tried for a span of two years and were advised to undergo IVF. However, as soon as they decided to let go of the stress and pressure, they miraculously conceived naturally. Reflecting on their experience, they decided to start trying for another child in October, anticipating that it might take a while yet again.
On the morning when she discovered she was pregnant, she began by taking a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After taking the test, she observed that it displayed a negative result, which left her feeling disappointed. She discarded the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the discarded pregnancy test from the trash to recheck. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had overlooked the fact that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was caught off guard when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even went as far as choosing a nursery theme for a boy.
At the beginning of this month, Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices of pepperoni pizza to uncover pink pieces of paper beneath them. Even though both Summer and her spouse, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, she expresses that they are extremely thrilled about it.
The well-being and happiness of the baby are our top priority. While we are content with having two babies, I cannot completely rule out the possibility of a third, but currently, we do not have any intentions or preparations for it.
One aspect of being parents that the couple disagrees on is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who previously selected their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby and believes he has the authority to choose the name once again. As a result, they are currently not discussing the matter. However, Summer jokingly mentioned a few names she currently likes, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer have been married for a year and a half, and their baby, Presley, was born in February 2023. They revealed that they had been attempting to get pregnant since their wedding, and after seeking medical advice and taking a break from trying, they were able to conceive a baby very soon after.
