Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, recently shared exciting details about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple is now completely focused on preparing for the arrival of their new baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. She shared the tale of how she discovered her current pregnancy, which came as an unexpected surprise. She admitted that although they were actively trying to conceive, it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a duration of two years and were advised to undergo IVF treatment. However, when they decided to let go of the stress and pressure, they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally. Due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, assuming it might take a while, but to their astonishment, they were surprised with a positive result.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially seemed to show a negative result. Early in the morning, she woke up and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She carefully observed the test and saw that it displayed a negative result, which disappointed her. Consequently, she discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the situation did not conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling that prompted her to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage and reevaluate the results. She discovered that the test was indeed positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results, causing her to overlook the fact that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to fully display the outcome.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she found out that they were going to have another girl, mainly because some of the symptoms she had during this pregnancy were completely different from her first one. She explains that during this time, from weeks 5 to 10, she experienced intense nausea, which made her believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen the theme for the nursery, assuming it would be a boy.
At the beginning of this month, the Pardis made a simple announcement of the gender of their baby by revealing pink slips of paper hidden under two slices of pepperoni pizza. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by the news of expecting another girl. They expressed their immense excitement about expanding their family.
The top priority is to have a happy and healthy baby. Additionally, we are content with having two babies for now. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, doesn't like any of her suggestions for their second baby. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer adds that she's just kidding. She shared a list of her favorite names for the baby, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer have been married for a year now, and their baby, Presley, was born in February 2023. They revealed that they had been actively trying to get pregnant since their wedding, but faced some challenges along the way. They sought medical advice and took a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they got pregnant soon after resuming their efforts.
