Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy. The couple has now publicly announced that they are expecting their second child, and they are fully embracing this exciting time by preparing for their new addition. Summer recently provided her Instagram followers with a glimpse into her current pregnancy during a Q&A session on her Instagram Stories over the weekend.
During an interaction with fans on Saturday (Jan. 27), the wife of the singer shared details about her pregnancy and experiences with having babies. She revealed that this time, she was taken aback by the news of her pregnancy as it was unexpected. Despite actively trying to conceive, the couple had faced difficulties in getting pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child Presley, attempting for a duration of two years and being advised to undergo IVF. However, they surprisingly conceived naturally after deciding to let go of the stress and pressure. Summer mentioned that due to their prior experience, they made the choice to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy journey to conception.
On the morning when she discovered she was pregnant, it all began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. She carefully observed the test, which eventually displayed a negative outcome. Feeling disappointed, she discarded it in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a couple of hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing fast results, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to display the complete outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that she was going to have another girl, especially since she had experienced some very different symptoms compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on that assumption.
Earlier this month, Pardis used a creative way to reveal the gender of their unborn baby by removing two slices of a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper beneath them. Even though both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were caught off guard by the news of expecting another girl, she expresses that they are extremely thrilled about it.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we feel content with having two babies. While I cannot completely rule out the possibility of a third baby in the future, we currently do not have any intentions or preparations for it.
However, there is one aspect of being parents that the couple does not agree on at the moment, and that is the name for their unborn baby. Summer mentions that Pardi, who had chosen the name for their first child Presley, dislikes all the names she suggests for their second baby. She jokingly mentions that they are not currently speaking because of this disagreement. Summer also shared a list of her current favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020, and their daughter Presley was born in February 2023. When they initially revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They had sought advice from medical professionals before taking a break from attempting to get pregnant. Surprisingly, they soon became pregnant after this hiatus.
