Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. Jon Pardi and his wife Summer have revealed to their fans that they are expecting their second child. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their baby, and Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy during an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to various inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among these questions, she shared the unexpected story of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came as a surprise, not because they were not actively trying to conceive, but rather because it took them some time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared on a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for two years and were advised to undergo IVF. However, once they decided to let go of the stress and pressure, they unexpectedly got pregnant naturally. In October, they made the decision to try for another baby, anticipating another lengthy journey to conception.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning through a test that initially showed a negative result. On one early morning, she woke up feeling the need to urinate and decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test, which indicated a negative outcome, leaving her disappointed. Consequently, she threw the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully display the outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she mentions feeling extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.
In the beginning of this month, the Pardis used a creative method to reveal the gender of their baby by uncovering pink slips of paper hidden beneath two slices of pepperoni pizza. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, they are extremely thrilled and eager about this addition to their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently do not have any intentions or arrangements for a third baby.
Although they are on the same page about most aspects of parenthood, Summer and Pardi have differing opinions when it comes to choosing a name for their upcoming baby. Pardi, who had previously selected Presley's name, is not fond of any of Summer's suggestions for baby number two. This disagreement has led to a temporary halt in their communication, albeit jokingly. Summer has provided a list of her preferred names, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and in February 2023, they welcomed their child Presley. When they made the announcement about Summer's pregnancy, they revealed that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors before deciding to take a break from their efforts to conceive. Interestingly, it was during this break that they unexpectedly became pregnant.
