Jon Pardi’s Wife Reveals Surprising Pregnancy Journey and Baby No. 2 Details

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared some information about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second child, and Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.

The singer's spouse took the time to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it had taken them quite some time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.

Summer shared in one part of her presentation that it was very difficult for them to conceive their first child, Presley. They tried for two years and were even advised to pursue in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they surprisingly became pregnant naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure associated with infertility treatments. Due to their previous experience, they chose to start trying for a second child in October, anticipating another lengthy journey to conception.

The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. Early in the morning, she woke up and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying for a baby in the previous weeks. She observed the test, saw that it turned out negative, felt disappointed, disposed of it in the trash, and went back to sleep.

Luckily, the story didn't come to an end at that point. After a couple of hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and she had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.

In other parts of the Q&A session, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because the symptoms she had during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.

Earlier in the current month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, uncovering pink slips of paper beneath. Despite both Summer and her husband, a country singer, being caught off guard by the news of expecting another girl, she expresses their immense enthusiasm.

The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies, although I cannot completely rule out the possibility of a third baby in the future, we currently have no intentions or plans for it.

Although this couple is in agreement on most aspects of parenthood, there is one area where they are not seeing eye-to-eye, and that is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer clarifies that she is joking. She also shares a list of her favorite potential names, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer got married in 2020 and their daughter, Presley, was born in February 2023. They revealed that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding and had sought medical advice before deciding to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they became pregnant shortly after taking this break.
