Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, recently shared some exciting information about her second pregnancy. The country duo is fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second child and Summer provided fans with a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time to respond to fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). Among the topics discussed was how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not due to lack of effort, but because it took them quite some time to conceive their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared that they experienced difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. After attempting to conceive for a period of two years and being advised to undergo IVF, they surprisingly managed to conceive naturally when they decided to let go of the stress and pressure. Following this experience, Summer and their partner decided to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy process.
The day she discovered her pregnancy began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up early in the morning and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a test since she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the weeks before. She observed the test, which showed a negative result, and felt disappointed. She then discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't end there. After a couple of hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the test she had thrown in the trash to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests that provide immediate results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This surprised her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was having a boy. She had even chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis had a unique way of revealing the gender of their baby. Instead of a traditional method, they pulled apart two slices of a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper beneath them. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were caught off guard by the news of expecting another girl. However, they expressed their extreme enthusiasm and joy for this new addition to their family.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies for now. Although I won't completely rule it out, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
One aspect of being parents that the couple doesn't agree on at the moment is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who was the one to choose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby and believes he should have the final say in naming the baby again. As a result, they are currently not discussing this matter, although Summer mentions this in a joking manner. Additionally, she shares a list of her preferred names for their baby, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer got married in 2020 and their baby Presley was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding. They had even sought advice from doctors before deciding to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they soon became pregnant after that.
