Loretta Lynn’s Son Faces Setback in Post-Surgery Update: Prayers Needed for Recovery

  • by

Loretta Lynn's family recently provided an update on the condition of her son, Ernest Ray Lynn, who is 69 years old. He had to undergo surgery due to kidney failure. However, the initial outcomes of the procedure suggest that it did not yield the expected success.

Crystal, the wife of Ernest, shared an update with fans on Thursday (Jan. 25) regarding Ernest's recent surgery. She had initially shared details on Facebook and mentioned that the doctors would be able to provide more information on the success of the operation on that day.

In her update, she expressed that the day did not go as expected, but they are determined to persevere. She firmly believes that the operation will be successful and that God will provide for their needs. She kindly requests everyone to pray for the new device to function properly tomorrow morning. They have faith in God and the strength of prayer, and they are grateful for the ongoing prayers, care, and friendship.

Crystal, despite not providing any recent official updates on Ernest, has taken to social media to inform fans that the family is still praying for her husband. She has also shared a collection of pictures featuring Ernest, some of which seem to have been captured during his time in the hospital.

Loretta Lynn has survived the passing of two of her children, whom she had with her husband Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their oldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, while residing in her home in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved an esteemed status as one of the greatest icons in country music and held the record for being the most decorated female country artist in history.
