Loretta Lynn’s Son’s Post-Surgery Update: A Disappointing Outcome

  • by

The recent update on Loretta Lynn's son, Ernest Ray Lynn, after his surgery is not the positive news we were expecting. Loretta Lynn's family had informed earlier this week that the 69-year-old was undergoing surgery to treat his kidney failure. However, the initial outcomes of the procedure suggest that it did not yield the desired results according to the doctors.

Crystal, the wife of Ernest, shared an update with fans on Thursday (Jan. 25), a few days after his surgery. She had initially shared information on Facebook and mentioned that this was the day when doctors would provide more details about the success of the operation.

In her update, she expressed that the day did not go according to their expectations, but they are not losing hope. They firmly believe that the operation will be successful and that their needs will be met by the Lord. They kindly request for prayers specifically towards the new device starting to function for them the next morning. They have faith in God and the effectiveness of prayer, and they are grateful for the ongoing prayers, care, and friendship from others.

Crystal has not provided any recent official updates on Ernest as of Sunday. However, she took to social media to inform fans that the family is still praying for her husband. Additionally, she shared a collection of pictures of Ernest, some of which seem to have been captured while he was in the hospital.

Loretta Lynn's husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn, had two children with her who unfortunately passed away before her. The first was their oldest daughter, Betty Sue, who died in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their oldest son, Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on the Lynn family's property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022 in her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved legendary status in country music and holds the record for being the female country performer with the most awards.
