Loretta Lynn’s Son’s Post-Surgery Update: A Disappointing Outcome and Continued Prayers

  • by

Loretta Lynn's family recently shared an update on her son, Ernest Ray Lynn, who underwent surgery for his kidney failure. Regrettably, the initial outcomes of the procedure were not as positive as the doctors had anticipated.

Crystal, the wife of Ernest, shared an update with fans on Thursday (Jan. 25) regarding Ernest's recent operation. She had initially shared details on Facebook and mentioned that this was the day when doctors would have more information about the success of the surgery.

In her update, she expressed that the day did not go as expected, but they remain determined and optimistic. They firmly believe that the operation will be a success and have faith that the Lord will provide for their needs. They kindly request prayers for the new device to begin functioning effectively tomorrow morning. Their belief in God and the strength of prayer is unwavering, and they are grateful for the ongoing prayers, support, and friendship.

As of Sunday, Crystal has not provided any further official updates about Ernest. However, she has taken to social media to inform fans that her family is still praying for her husband. In addition, Crystal has shared a collection of photos of Ernest, some of which seem to have been taken while he was in the hospital.

Loretta Lynn has lived longer than two of her children who she had with her deceased husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. Their oldest daughter, Betty Sue, passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. Additionally, their oldest son, Jack Benny, tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on the Lynn family's property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she established herself as one of the most prominent figures in country music and held the record for the highest number of awards received by a female country artist.

In memory of 40 country singers and songwriters who passed away prematurely, we pay our respects. The credit for this gallery goes to Billy Dukes.
