Loretta Lynn’s Son’s Post-Surgery Update: A Disappointing Outcome Raises Concerns

  • by

Loretta Lynn's family recently shared an update regarding her son, Ernest Ray Lynn, who is 69 years old and was undergoing surgery for his kidney failure. Regrettably, the initial outcomes of the procedure did not meet the optimistic expectations of the doctors.

On Thursday (Jan. 25), Crystal, the wife of Ernest, shared an update with fans on the status of his surgery. She had initially shared the details on Facebook. Crystal had mentioned earlier that the doctors would have more information about the success of the operation on that specific day.

In her update, she expressed that the day did not go as expected but they are determined to persevere. They have strong faith that the operation will be successful and that their needs will be met by the Lord. They kindly request prayers for the new device to begin functioning tomorrow morning. They have unwavering belief in God and the strength of prayer, and they are grateful for the ongoing prayers, care, and friendship they have received.

Crystal has not given any new official updates about Ernest since Sunday, but she has taken to social media to inform fans that her family is still praying for her husband. She also shared a collection of photos of Ernest, some of which seem to have been captured during his time in the hospital.

Loretta Lynn has experienced the pain of losing two of her children, who she had with her late husband Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. Her oldest daughter Betty Sue passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema, and her eldest son Jack Benny tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she established herself as one of the most prominent icons in country music and held the record for being the female country artist with the highest number of awards.
