Loretta Lynn's family provided an update on her son, Ernest Ray Lynn, who had recently undergone surgery for kidney failure. However, the initial outcomes of the procedure have shown that it did not yield the desired results as expected by the doctors.
On Thursday (Jan. 25), Crystal, the wife of Ernest, shared an update with fans. She had initially shared details about Ernest's situation on Facebook. The update came a few days after his surgery, which took place as scheduled. Crystal had mentioned earlier that this was the day when the doctors would be able to determine if the operation was successful or not.
In her update, she expressed that the day did not go according to their expectations. However, they remain determined and optimistic, firmly believing that the operation will ultimately be successful and that their needs will be met by the Lord. They kindly request others to pray specifically for the new device to begin functioning tomorrow morning. They have unwavering faith in God and the efficacy of prayer, and they deeply value the ongoing prayers, care, and friendship of others.
Crystal has not provided any new official information about her husband Ernest as of Sunday, but she has taken to social media to inform fans that their family is still praying for him. Additionally, she has shared a collection of photographs featuring Ernest, some of which seem to have been captured while he was in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn has endured the heartbreak of losing two of her children who she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their oldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills. At the age of 90, she had established herself as one of the most prominent figures in country music. Throughout her life, Lynn received the highest number of accolades among female country performers.
