Wyatt Flores Reflects on Lost Love in Emotional New Song ‘Milwaukee

  • by

Wyatt Flores has crafted a heartfelt new song titled "Milwaukee," which serves as a tribute to a lost love. The song showcases Flores' ability to express his emotions through music.

Wyatt Flores, an up-and-coming singer from Oklahoma, has returned with a heartfelt breakup song titled "Milwaukee." This track marks one of his first releases following the success of his EP Life Lessons in 2023.

According to Flores, Milwaukee represents those moments when you have feelings for someone but not to the fullest extent. It serves as a heartfelt message dedicated to the love that was lost, emphasizing the lessons learned from past errors. Flores states that we all wish for our mistakes not to shape our identity, and Milwaukee encapsulates this sentiment. Love requires effort and if we don't actively strive to maintain it, it can easily slip away.

"In a certain location in Milwaukee, the concrete is covered with snow, and I can still visualize you walking away," Flores expresses on the first verse. "I attempted to apologize, but the freezing rain continued to fall, and I couldn't find the right words to make you stay." In a later part of the song, Flores pleads with his ex, "Please don't hold resentment towards my heart."

The song "Milwaukee" was co-written by Flores along with Graham Barham, Gavin Lucas, and Cole Miracle. This is Flores' first new music release since the album Life Lessons. As a Christmas gift to his fans, he released his own version of the Fray's song "How to Save a Life," which he had previously performed during concerts.
