Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the popular TV series 'Nashville', recently revealed in an interview that despite the show's success, her experience filming it was extremely distressing for her.
Hayden Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, in the TV show Nashville. The show aired from 2012 to 2018. Panettiere has been candid about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she reveals that the show's writers drew heavily from her own experiences to develop her character's storylines. This made the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette starts dating one too," Panettiere explains. "And then they portray her as an alcoholic. Then they have her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe, and it was clear that they weren't being original. They weren't coming up with new storylines. They were simply taking elements from my life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's done and finished."
Panettiere expresses that her time in Nashville was incredibly fulfilling for her career, but it also had a deeply distressing impact on her as she felt like she was reliving her own personal experiences while acting.
Panettiere plans to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" in three different cities. The purpose of this tour is to inspire and support those who are facing similar challenges as she has in her own life.
