Hayden Panettiere Opens Up About the Trauma of Filming ‘Nashville

  • by

Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the television series 'Nashville', recently opened up about her experience on the show, describing it as a deeply distressing and traumatic experience for her during filming. Despite achieving great success in her career through the show, Panettiere reveals that it had a significant emotional impact on her.

Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, in the television show Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. The actress has been candid about her personal challenges with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, Panettiere revealed that the show's writers drew inspiration from her own experiences, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.

"Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player and then the character Juliette also dates a football player," Panettiere explains. "Then they portrayed her as an alcoholic. After that, they had her leave her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe. It was very clear that they weren't being creative or original with the storylines. They were simply taking aspects of my own life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's done."

Panettiere describes her time on Nashville as highly fulfilling in terms of her career. However, she also expresses that the experience was deeply distressing for her, as she felt as though she was reliving her own personal life through her acting.

Panettiere is planning to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" in three different cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has in her life.
