In a recent interview, Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the popular TV show 'Nashville', revealed that despite the success she achieved through her involvement in the series, filming the show had a significantly negative impact on her well-being, describing it as a "very traumatizing" experience.
In the television series Nashville, Hayden Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star. The show aired from 2012 to 2018. Panettiere has been vocal about her challenges with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview with the Messenger, she reveals that the show's writers drew inspiration from her personal life to shape the storylines of her character. This resulted in a particularly challenging filming experience for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player and then Juliette starts dating one too," Panettiere explains. "And then they portray her as an alcoholic. After that, they have her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe. It was clear that they weren't putting in the effort to come up with new storylines. They were simply taking inspiration from my own life and adding their own twist to it. And just like that, it's finished."
According to Panettiere, her time on Nashville was personally challenging because she felt as though she was reliving her own experiences while acting in the show, despite it being a fulfilling career opportunity.
Panettiere plans to start a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" across three cities. The purpose of this tour is to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges and difficulties as she has in her own life.
