Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Her Surprise Pregnancy and Baby Name Dilemma

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse recently shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second child. During a Q&A session on Instagram Stories, Summer provided glimpses into her ongoing pregnancy.

On Saturday (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not due to lack of effort in trying to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.

Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving a child named Presley. They tried for two years and were even advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, when they decided to let go of the stress and pressure, they miraculously became pregnant naturally. Due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, not expecting it to happen quickly, but surprisingly, it did.

On the morning when she discovered she was pregnant, she began by taking a pregnancy test that initially seemed to show a negative result. She woke up very early and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test, which showed a negative result, so she felt disappointed, threw it away, and went back to sleep.

Luckily, the story did not conclude at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the discarded pregnancy test from the trash to re-check the results. To her surprise, the test showed a clear positive indication. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to rapid results from COVID-19 tests and had overlooked the fact that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.

In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was caught off guard when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because she noticed significant differences in her symptoms compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, Summer experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.

Earlier this month, the Pardis revealed the gender of their baby by removing two slices of pepperoni pizza to uncover pink pieces of paper beneath them. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, but they are extremely thrilled about it.

The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we feel content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility of having a third baby in the future, we currently have no intentions or plans for it.

The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who picked their first child's name, does not like any of her suggestions for their second child's name. They are currently not speaking about it, but she shared a list of her favorite options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the announcement about their pregnancy, they revealed that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors during this time and took a break from trying to conceive before unexpectedly becoming pregnant.
