Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared exciting details about her second pregnancy with their fans. The couple is thrilled to be expecting another baby and have fully embraced the preparations for the arrival. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse responded to some inquiries from fans on Saturday (Jan. 27) regarding topics related to pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was how she discovered her current pregnancy. She acknowledged that the news came unexpectedly, not because they were not attempting to conceive, but because it took them a significant amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley, as they tried for two years and were even advised to undergo in-vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they were pleasantly surprised when they conceived naturally after deciding to let go of all the stress and worries. As a result of their positive experience, they made the decision to start trying for another child in October, considering the possibility of another lengthy journey to conception.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. She observed the test, which turned out to be negative, so she felt disappointed, threw it away, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A session, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery, assuming it would be for a boy.
In recent weeks, the Pardis made a simple announcement about the gender of their upcoming child by revealing pink slips of paper hidden beneath two slices of pepperoni pizza. Despite the unexpected news of expecting another girl, both Summer and her husband, a country singer, expressed their immense excitement.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility of a third baby in the future, we currently have no intentions or arrangements for expanding our family any further.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child's name. As a result, they are currently not speaking about it. However, Summer also shared a list of her favorite potential names, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the pregnancy announcement, they revealed that they had been attempting to conceive ever since their wedding. They sought medical advice and took a break from trying to conceive before eventually getting pregnant soon after.
