Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Her Surprise Pregnancy and Baby No. 2

  • by

Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, has shared details about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for their new addition and Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through a Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.

During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions asked was about the circumstances in which she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not because they were not attempting to conceive, but due to the fact that it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley.

Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving a child named Presley. They attempted to get pregnant for a period of two years and were informed that they would need to undergo IVF. However, they miraculously conceived naturally when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. In October, they made the decision to start trying for a second child, anticipating another lengthy journey, but were pleasantly surprised.

On the morning when she discovered that she was pregnant, she began by taking a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. As she observed the test, it indicated a negative result, which made her feel disappointed. Subsequently, she discarded the test in the trash and went back to bed.

Luckily, the story didn't end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage and check it again. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to show the complete outcome.

In another part of the Q&A, Summer reveals that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was surprising to her because some of the symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were very different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was perhaps expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.

At the beginning of this month, the Pardis revealed the gender of their baby in a creative way. They used a pepperoni pizza and removed two slices to uncover pink slips of paper beneath. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of having another daughter, but they are filled with joy and enthusiasm.

The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.

Although this couple agrees on most aspects of parenthood, they have a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, dislikes all the names she suggests for their second child. As a result, they are currently not discussing the topic. Summer jokingly mentioned that they are not talking, but she shared a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and summer have been wedded since 2020, and Presley came into the world in February 2023. When they initially revealed their pregnancy, they also mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding day. They had sought advice from medical professionals before pausing their efforts to conceive, and then, surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after.
