Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer, have revealed to their fans that they are expecting their second child. The couple is now fully focused on preparing for their new arrival, and Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and infants. Among the topics discussed was the story of how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came as an unexpected surprise, not due to lack of effort, but rather because it took them quite a while to conceive their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant challenges in conceiving their child named Presley. They tried for a duration of two years and were advised to undergo IVF (in vitro fertilization) as a solution. However, when they decided to let go of any expectations and stopped focusing on the issue, they miraculously became pregnant naturally. Encouraged by this unexpected success, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, just in case the process would be lengthy once again.
She discovered her pregnancy one morning when she decided to take a test after waking up early and needing to use the bathroom. Despite initially showing a negative result, she felt disappointed, discarded the test in the trash, and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing quick results, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered they were going to have another daughter. This was unexpected for her because she had experienced several different symptoms during her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her strongly believe that she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this belief.
Earlier this month, the Pardis made a creative announcement about the gender of their upcoming child by using a pepperoni pizza. They revealed pink slips of paper underneath two slices of pizza, indicating that they will be having a girl. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by the news and expressed their excitement about expanding their family with another daughter.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility of a third baby in the future, it is not something we are currently planning for.
The couple is not in agreement when it comes to choosing a name for their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who previously picked their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for baby number two. She jokingly mentioned that they are currently not speaking because of this disagreement. However, Summer did share a list of her current favorite name options, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their child, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the pregnancy announcement, they revealed that they had been attempting to conceive since their wedding day. They had sought advice from medical professionals before temporarily stopping their efforts to conceive. Surprisingly, they soon conceived after taking a break.
