Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Surprise Pregnancy and Baby Name Dilemma

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After revealing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully focused on preparing for their new baby. Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.

During the weekend (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. This included sharing the story of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news was unexpected, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but rather because it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.

Summer shared on a slide that they faced immense difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for a duration of two years and were advised to undergo IVF treatment. However, they miraculously became pregnant naturally right after deciding to let go of all worries and stress. Therefore, in October, they made the decision to start trying for a second child, anticipating that it might take a long time.

One morning, after waking up early and needing to use the bathroom, she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for a few weeks. She observed the test and initially saw a negative result, which disappointed her. She then discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.

Luckily, the story did not conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck it. She discovered that the test result was indeed positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing rapid results, and had overlooked the fact that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to fully develop.

In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she found out they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected because she had experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.

At the beginning of this month, the Pardis conducted a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper beneath them. Even though both Summer and her husband, a country singer, were caught off guard by the news of having another girl in the family, she expresses their immense enthusiasm.

The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we feel content with having two babies. While I will not completely rule it out, having a third baby is not something we have planned for.

The couple is currently having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who already chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby and believes he has the final say in naming. As a result, they are currently not talking about it, although Summer adds that she is joking. She also shared a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and their daughter Presley was born in February 2023. When they made the announcement about their pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors but decided to take a break from trying, only to find out they were soon expecting a baby.
