Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, the couple is now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second child. Summer recently provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.
The singer's spouse took some time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the revelation of how she discovered she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not due to lack of effort in trying to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for two years and were informed that they would need to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they were pleasantly surprised when they conceived naturally after deciding to let go of the stress and pressure. Due to their previous experiences, they decided to start trying for another child in October, anticipating another lengthy journey to conception. However, to their amazement, they were met with an unexpected surprise.
On the morning when she discovered she was pregnant, she began by taking a pregnancy test that initially seemed to show a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for several weeks. After observing the test, which showed a negative result, she felt disappointed, disposed of it in the garbage, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story did not conclude at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the test from the garbage and reexamine it. To her surprise, it showed a clearly positive result. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer reveals that she was taken aback when she discovered that she was going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she had experienced different symptoms during her first pregnancy. During her second pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was going to have a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery in anticipation of a baby boy.
Earlier this month, Pardis revealed the gender of their baby in a unique way. They pulled apart two slices of a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper underneath, indicating that they are expecting a girl. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by this news and are extremely enthusiastic about expanding their family with another daughter.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I cannot definitively rule out the possibility of a third baby in the future, we currently do not have any intentions or arrangements for one.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child's name. This disagreement has caused them to temporarily stop talking about it. However, Summer jokes that they are not actually not speaking. She shared a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer have been in a marital union since the year 2020, and their child Presley was born in February 2023. When they initially revealed the news of their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively attempting to conceive a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from medical professionals and took a break from their efforts before eventually becoming pregnant quite swiftly.
