Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, the country couple is fully focused on preparing for their new baby. In a recent Instagram Stories Q&A session, Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy.
The singer's spouse responded to several inquiries from fans on Saturday (Jan. 27) about pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced immense difficulties while attempting to conceive their child, Presley. They struggled for a period of two years and were advised to undergo IVF. However, they miraculously conceived naturally when they reached a point where they decided to let go of all the stress and worries. Encouraged by this unexpected outcome, they made the decision in October to start trying for another baby, just in case it turned out to be another lengthy journey.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with her taking a pregnancy test early in the morning. Initially, the test showed a negative result, which disappointed her. She then discarded the test in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to check it again. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests need a few minutes to fully show the outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl, particularly because some of the symptoms she encountered were so different from her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea between weeks 5 and 10, which convinced her that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery, fully believing it would be appropriate for a baby boy.
During the beginning of this month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which uncovered pink slips of paper beneath them. Despite the unexpected news of expecting another girl, both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, expressed their immense excitement.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently do not have any intentions for a third baby.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking about it, although she is joking about it. Summer also shared a list of her favorite options for the baby's name, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer have been married for a year, starting from 2020, and their child Presley was born in February 2023. They openly revealed that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding, and had sought advice from doctors before deciding to take a temporary break from their efforts. Surprisingly, it was during this break that they successfully conceived and became pregnant.
