Jon Pardi’s Wife Opens Up About Surprise Pregnancy and Baby No. 2

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully immersed in preparing for their new baby. Summer recently gave her followers a glimpse into her ongoing pregnancy by answering questions on Instagram Stories.

The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions addressed how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they weren't actively trying, but because it took them quite some time to conceive their first child, who is now one year old and named Presley.

Summer shared in a slide that they had faced difficulties in conceiving a child named Presley. Despite trying for two years and being advised to undergo IVF, they miraculously conceived naturally after deciding to let go of all the worries. Due to this experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, expecting it to be a lengthy process once again.

The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially indicated a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After observing the negative result, she felt disappointed, discarded the test in the trash, and went back to sleep.

Thankfully, the story didn't come to a close at that point. Summer, after a couple of hours, had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to recheck. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests showing results quickly and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.

In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.

Earlier this month, the Pardis celebrated the gender reveal of their baby by creatively using a pepperoni pizza. They pulled away two slices of pizza to uncover pink slips of paper, indicating that they were expecting a girl. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by the news and expressed their immense excitement about welcoming another daughter into their family.

The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions or arrangements for a third baby.

However, there is one aspect of being parents that the couple does not agree on at the moment, and that is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer reveals that Pardi, who was the one to choose their first baby's name, strongly dislikes all the names she suggests for their second child. She jokingly adds that they are currently not speaking because of this disagreement. Summer also provides a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020, and their daughter Presley was born in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to conceive since their wedding and had sought medical advice before taking a break. Surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after the break.
