Summer, the wife of Jon Pardi, recently shared details about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple, known for their country music, are excitedly preparing for the arrival of their second child. Summer gave fans a glimpse of her current pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse recently responded to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). She shared the story of how she discovered she was expecting again, mentioning that it was unexpected. Although they were actively trying, it took them a long time to conceive their first child, Presley, who is now one year old.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced considerable difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley. They attempted for a period of two years and were advised to undergo IVF. However, they unexpectedly conceived naturally when they decided to let go of all the worries. Summer mentioned that due to their previous experience, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another prolonged journey, but were pleasantly surprised.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After taking the test and seeing it turn out negative, she felt disappointed. She discarded the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the situation didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. Summer realizes that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing rapid results, causing her to overlook the fact that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully display the outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because some of the symptoms she had during this pregnancy were quite different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe she was going to have a boy. She had even chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis had a unique way of revealing the gender of their baby by using a pepperoni pizza. They pulled away two slices of the pizza to uncover pink slips of paper beneath, indicating that they were expecting a girl. Although both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news, they are extremely thrilled and enthusiastic about welcoming another daughter into their family.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I cannot completely rule out the possibility, we currently do not have any intentions of having a third baby.
The couple disagrees on one aspect of parenting, and that is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for baby number two and believes he is once again deciding on the name. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although she adds that she is joking. Summer also provided a list of her favorite names at the moment, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer have been husband and wife since 2020, and their child Presley was born in February 2023. When they initially revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to conceive a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from doctors before deciding to take a break from trying, and surprisingly, they became pregnant shortly after this break.
