Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy with their fans. The country couple, Jon Pardi and Summer, are now fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy during a Q&A session on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies. She shared the tale of how she discovered her pregnancy this time, mentioning that it caught her off guard. Although they were actively trying to conceive, it took them quite some time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley, making this news unexpected.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They struggled for two years and were even advised to undergo IVF. However, when they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure, they miraculously conceived naturally. Due to their previous experience, in October they decided to start trying for another baby, just in case they encountered a similar lengthy process. Much to their surprise, they were met with another positive pregnancy.
She began her day by taking a pregnancy test, which initially showed a negative result. In the early morning, she woke up and decided to take the test because they had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks. After seeing the negative result, she felt disappointed, so she discarded the test and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story did not come to an end. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to check again. Surprisingly, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was particularly surprising because some of the symptoms she experienced during this pregnancy were completely different from her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had already chosen a theme for the nursery based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, unveiling pink pieces of paper beneath. Despite Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being caught off guard by the news of having another daughter, she expresses that they are extremely thrilled.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies, although I cannot completely rule out the possibility of having a third in the future, we currently do not have any intentions or plans for it.
The couple disagrees on the name for their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, does not like any of her suggestions for their second child and believes that he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although she is joking about it. Summer also shared a list of her favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer got married in 2020 and their child Presley was born in February 2023. When they revealed the news of their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to have a baby since their wedding, and had sought advice from doctors before taking a break from their efforts. Surprisingly, they soon conceived after that break.
